Learning Torah
Summer for a yeshivah boy doesn't have to be merely a break from the routine of school. Summer can provide a chance to be inspired and rejuvenated, so that a boy feels refreshed and looks forward to learning with new vitality.

Bnei Aish in Eretz Yisrael is a four-week summer camp for yeshivah boys, grades 9-12, that gives the guys an adventurous and inspirational summer, while having them connect with Torah and Israel.

Conceived, four years ago as a camp for the sons of Aish HaTorah staff and alumni, Bnei Aish has expanded to include boys from the general yeshivah high school population.

The camp has access to the many unique resources of Aish HaTorah, and lectures include world renowned and inspiring speakers from Aish HaTorah's staff, like Rabbi Motty Berger, Rabbi Gavriel Friedman and the Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Noach Weinberg. Their inspiring lectures are combined with exciting programs and touring the length and breadth of Eretz Yisrael.

Enjoying Outdoors
The Bnei Aish program is a unique opportunity that melds exploring the wilderness with Torah learning in the spiritual atmosphere of Israel. The trip leaves an indelible impression of the wonders of the Land of Israel, the history of the Jewish people, and one's place in it, leading to increased confidence and a heightened appreciation of their heritage.

Activities include touring, hiking, sports, swimming and camping. Learning features classes, discussions and lectures based on Aish. The Bnei Aish program emphasizes discussion and exploration of hashkafic (religious philosophy on life) issues which are generally not touched upon in the regular yeshivah setting. These discussions are a time to bond and a time for each boy to discover and define himself further. All of this provides our boys with a life changing experience; enhancing their personal growth and their connection to Torah and Israel; providing them with insight and inspiration for life while gaining leadership and group skills.

Sruly Shanet, director of the camp for three years, chooses his staff for their positive approach toward Judaism, their ability to relate to teenagers, and their good character traits.

The program is staffed with five full-time, experienced madrichim (counselors), who are all great role models for the campers.

Parents are updated on a regular basis about the latest happenings and adventures of their children.

This year, the program will run from Monday, July 28 until Sunday, August 24, 2008.
