It’s your wedding day and you want to look great! This is the day you have been dreaming about for years. Ever since you were a little girl, you’ve pictured yourself as a bride. Your time has finally come.

Looking and feeling great for a party can be both difficult and enjoyable depending on how you choose to prepare for it.
Taking a little time now, to picture exactly how you want this special occasion to be, will save a great deal of time later. Having a plan will give you total enjoyment and prepare you for a calmer and more organized feeling, instead of an out of control ‘I thought this was going to be so much more fun’ experience.
I am going to address the beauty aspect of the occasion. Once you have a vision of how you want to look, choose clothing accordingly. Selecting a flattering suit or gown is going to make the difference. Choose a color that becomes you. Too many times I have heard, “This is not a color I am comfortable with.” If it doesn't flatter you, don't buy it!

Think smart. Wearing an outfit that suits your personality, a hairdo you can feel like yourself in, and makeup that is an enhancement will give you peace of mind and confidence. The total picture should be considered. If your gown is very ornate or fussy, wear a softer hairstyle. If your gown is sleek and sophisticated, wear dramatic makeup. Choose what you want to emphasize. When deciding on your bouquet, put this into the total picture too.
Three months in advance of your wedding is the time to re-evaluate your skin. Makeup will go on as smooth as the skin beneath it. Since I have found tremendous success with my skin care products, I don't recommend a facial except in the most extreme cases.

Most women are not aware of how dry or ‘out of sync’ their skin is. Feel the side of your cheek or chin. Many women have what I call a ‘sandy’ area that is very dry. Young girls do not have to walk around without confidence due to blemished skin. Party time is a time when (brides especially) go through so much excitement that their skin almost always reacts.

In my experience as a professional makeup artist, I have found that it is important to know where and how to place colors for the best photos. Be aware that the latest colors in lipsticks, which are quite sheer, may be very attractive in person, but bland to a camera. Try to find a balance of what flatters you and what looks good in pictures.
